Join the Ride for Inclusion
What exactly is 321 for 3.21?
321 for 3.21 began as a 32.1 mile bike ride on March 21, 2020 in honor of World Down Syndrome Day - the 21st day of March (the 3rd month of the year) was selected to signify the uniqueness of the 3rd replication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.
We went bigger in 2021 and 2022, making it a 321-mile, three-day ride from Bellingham to Portland.
What started as a solo-bike ride by Matt to raise awareness about Down syndrome and celebrate inclusion, has now become an opportunity for people across our region to do 321 for 3.21.
For many in the Puget Sound region, cycling is life, and bringing together the cycling community to support inclusive riding was the motivation behind the event. But you don’t have to be a cyclist to enjoy riding! So, as the event has grown, we have expanded the celebration to include all riders: whether you bike for 321 miles or for 3.21 minutes, you are welcomed!
